COVID-19 Guidelines for Hypnotherapy
If you have been shielding or had any reason in the last twelve months that could affect your immunity you must gain consent from a doctor before undertaking face-to-face sessions. Please contact me for more information if you are unsure.
Therapy during lockdown
Two key rules for offering face-to-face hypnotherapy during lockdown:
The government guidelines for the lockdown starting on 5th November 2020 include these provisions: 'Support groups that are essential to deliver in person can continue with up to 15 participants where formally organised to provide mutual aid, therapy or any other form of support.'
If you do not wish to use Zoom and prefer one-to-one therapy as you believe it is essential then Public Health England says that this rule can be applied.
Your appointment
Therapy sessions will always be on an appointment basis only.
Appointments will run strictly to time to allow for thorough cleaning between clients.
Please arrive no more than five minutes before your appointment and wait at the gate for me to accompany you to the therapy room at a social distance.
Please arrive wearing a face covering (mask or visor), unless you are in an exempt group.
Please come on your own. Anyone accompanying you will not be able to enter the premises (unless you are a child or a vulnerable adult who needs a chaperone).
You will be asked to sign a confirmation at each appointment that you have not been diagnosed with or exposed to COVID-19 in the last two weeks, and that you do not have symptoms or need to self-isolate.
In compliance with the advice issued by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council, your temperature will also be taken on arrival by non-contact means and this will be recorded in your notes.
On arrival in the therapy room
Please use the hand gel or wash your hands on entering the building and before leaving.
Please bring your own pen or drink of water as I am unable to provide you with drinks, pens or any other item that might be shared with other clients.
We will maintain a 2m distance during the therapy session where possible.
Payment Information
Payment should be made before you attend by bank transfer and I will provide details of how to do this on request.
If you pay by cash please put the correct amount in a sealed envelope with your name on the outside. This will be isolated for 24 hours.
Track, Trace and Isolate
There is a QR code for those using the track and trace app. and a designated track and trace book for personal contact if you do not have the app.
If I have to self-isolate I will cancel face-to-face appointments and notify you as soon as I can to re-arrange the time and date of your appointment.
Cancellations
Provided you contact me before your appointment, no penalties for late cancellation will be enforced if you are unable to attend because you have come into contact with someone with COVID-19, if you have been diagnosed, or if you have developed symptoms
Between sessions
The client chair will be cleaned, and the chair covering will be replaced between appointments.
All surfaces will be cleaned for each client.
